This is a precise REPLICA of a 1950's department store display bust that was molded directly from a vintage model. This particular model is from Canada and has a very unique French style. She radiates a very classy and sophisticated look while retaining a "girl next door" sweetness. The ears are pierced but because the lobes are not open on the backside, the earring nuts cannot be used; the posts just rest in the holes. The approximate height is 15" and the forehead circumference is 21 1/2". Apparel is not included in the sale.

This model was cast in US Gypsum #1 casting plaster (much stronger and more chip-resistant than normal plaster). I prefer plaster because it is historically correct, is timeless, and stable for many generations to come. 

Our models closely resemble the originals in weight and feel and carry the original and charming mold marks that are characteristic of handcrafted work. These marks should not be considered defects and only add character to the artwork. Our models are made to look, feel, smell and taste very similar to what the vintage model would when new (no better, no worse). These replicas are in no way ever meant to deceive and the undersides of the bases are hand-scribed with the year, our signature, and are numbered in the order that they are made.
