Hello, my name is: Ivy

This is a precise REPLICA of a late 1940's department store display bust that was molded directly from a vintage model. This is a sister to the most widely sold hat model of the 40's and 50's. This mold is highly detailed and reveals great castings. The height is 15" and the forehead circumference is 20 1/2". Apparel is for display only and not included in the sale.

The primary objective of Decoeyes is to duplicate a historically correct hat and jewelry shop display mannequin true to the golden era of mannequin production (the 1920's through the 1950's).  We work very hard to create a model that closely resembles a new, mint-in-the-box original display from this era.

This model will TASTEFULLY display (and compliment) apparel without dominating it. "Old School" techniques are utilized and this specific model is very close in color and style as to what would have been found in a 1920s or 30s hat shop.  You may see how our models compare to the competition by doing an eBay search: Clothing, Shoes & Accessories > Vintage > Vintage Accessories > Women's Hats. To be more specific, check out auctions by some outstanding sellers: nancybcat,  marymuldoon, moonglowroad, and fantasyofjewels.......the "proof is in the pudding".......you may see how our mannequins model some really fine apparel.

Our models are cast in the best USA manufactured resins available.  Each is cast, hand-finished, and hand-painted in our shop.  We have made changes over the years and each change was made to improve our product…..never to save money or time.

The fantastic original vintage models were originally produced for the purpose of store displays and were never intended for public consumption.  The originals show the marks of handwork and ours impart the same hand-made "flaws"......they are not perfect, each is totally hand-made and exhibits "old school" techniques.

"There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man's lawful prey!" John Ruskin (1819-1900).
