This is a precise replica of a great Art Deco 1930's store display. This model would have been used in the cosmetics or jewelry department of upscale stores as Neiman Marcus. This is a fantastic sculpture and would stand with the best of the deco art pieces even though it was never intended for public consumption. This bust would be a great accent to any Art Deco setting. The height is 20 1/2" and the forehead circumference is 18 1/2". Although not intended as a hat model (see last photo for relative size), the smaller vintage hats will work nicely because of the exaggerated finger curls. Her head is about 2/3 actual life size. Apparel shown is for display only and is not included in the sale. This casting was done in our hybrid blend of gypsum cement and plaster. My wife and myself are the only workers involved in the production of the decoeyes "line-up". She does the castings and shipping and I do the molding and painting. Together, we "mass produce" 6 to 8 models per week working full-time. Each display model is unique to itself and represents many hours of meticulous labor. Our objective is to produce a model that is of the highest quality and historically correct to the 1920-50's era (the golden age of mannequin production) |
